Community Update #1

Launch Week

It’s been less than a week since we launched Stacker Ventures on our mission to support promising blockchain technology through an involved community, and we are now a big step closer!

We launched as an Aragon DAO which will initiate and help manage Stacker Ventures funds, starting with Fund 1. The DAO treasury now holds the majority of the STACK supply in addition to about $500k of ETH, DAI, and STACK/ETH LP tokens.

As of now, Fund 1 has over $2,000,000 in commitments and our community has doubled in size over just the last day or two.Also, at the time of posting, APY figures remain in the quadruple digits!

Our developers have been hard at work bringing live stats to the site, fixing small bugs, reworking a few aspects of the site, and making good progress on another big feature coming soon!

Visibility & Listings

Uniswap

The Stacker Ventures DAO provided initial liquidity for the STACK token by depositing 100 ETH and 5,000 STACK to Uniswap. You can view the DAO’s current liquidity here. To remove this liquidity, or add more, STACK holders would need to pass a vote. The DAOs LP tokens are not earning STACK rewards.

Thanks to some help from a community member we were able to quickly get listed on Coingecko!

We saw we were listed by Bilaxy. Please note that we do not recommend or endorse any exchanges. Please DYOR.

STACK is also now on Nomics, CoinStats, Live Coin Watch, and WorldCoinIndex.

Development Update

We will try to keep regular dev updates coming, but this first one will be shorter.

We are hard at work on something we’re super excited to share, but this week was mostly focused on maintaining and improving the stability of the website and servers, making it more accessible to newcomers (including APY stats without requiring Metamask), and fixing a few blocking front-end bugs.

A few known issues that we will solve ASAP are:

• Scaling our stats (we have been hitting Infura limits over the last few days)

• Making “my commitments” show on the Fund 1 page (don’t worry, your ETH is safe!)

• Adding LP withdrawal functionality to the front-end (send us a DM if you need help withdrawing your LP tokens from the contract)

What’s Next?

We keep building on all fronts – tech, connections, and community! 

Like we mentioned above, we have some (more) cool things in the works and will be posting more info soon on governance, how the STACK token plays into everything, and how we hope to leverage our growing community to support and accelerate promising blockchain projects.
